Divorce and the resulting down-sizing and financial restructuring necessitates the very reluctant sale of my USA G&L Legacy.
This is the 1998 four bolt neck model in a natural finish which shows off the ripples in what I think is swamp ash. Maple neck with G&L locking tuners, detachable tremolo arm on a G&L tail.
I would hesitate to use the word “immaculate” but in this case I think it’s justified. This is quite a beautiful instrument. The guitar has never been gigged and used only in the studio at home - played through a trusty old Marshal 12 watt Reverb and a VOX AC10, and once (and only once) through a Mesa Boogie (that was the sonic boom you heard around lunchtime….,)
I found the original pickups too harsh for my style and taste so I had them replaced with the EMG SA active pickup set which for me gives a much clearer sound and more subtle tones, especially at higher volumes. The battery is under the scratch plate so is changed when you change the strings.
Comes with all of the original certificates and paperwork and the original G&L hard shell case which has a few light marks but is perfectly functional. Amazingly, I still have the two keys for the case.
This is an extremely reluctant sale, I feel guilty in an anthropomorphic kind of way but needs must. Of all of my guitars (I have ten) this is the one I play the least so it deserves to be played and loved instead of hanging on the wall looking beautiful. I simply won’t have the space for all ten when I move out and the cash raised will help support my gorgeous daughter through school.
Yes, yes…., “sell her instead” I hear you guitarists say but it’s against the rules….,
Cash please and a meet up to hand her over face to face, I can travel within a reasonable distance of Salisbury.
