This isn't the least of my small collection and I'll be sad to see it go, but I can only justify keeping guitars that are used regularly. It's too nice to take out gigging and I marginally prefer my Furch OM35SR so it doesn't get played as much as it should.
I'm the second owner. I purchased it 3 years ago from the original owner who purchased it from Stageshop the Furch dealer in Hungary. The retail on this was €1973. It's a model that is no longer made by Furch unless you request a custom build.
I really enjoy playing this guitar. It's been set up with a low easy action by luthier Steve Toon. It has a full sound that you would expect from a Maple bodied acoustic. Warm mellow bass notes blend superbly with a rich and clear tone. It's great for strumming and finger picking and has a confident projection of sound without straining when played at loud volumes. It records well too.
It is a beautiful guitar, especially for a dreadnought. Not too much bling, but subtle touches that set it apart. Specifications include:
Solid Sitka spruce top and solid flamed maple back and sides.
African mahogany neck
Ebony fingerboard with 45mm wide TUSQ nut.
The scale length is 650mm, the strings spacing is 55mm at the bridge.
Imitation tortoiseshell pins and purling.
The bridge is ebony as well, the pins are tortoise imitated.
Pearl inlay rosette and inlays on fingerboard.
Schaller M6 gold tuners
Hiscox hard case included
