Cashimira 145/Brazilian Rosewood Classical Guitar – Immaculate Condition!
This is a peach of a guitar, owned by me from new and bought direct from renowned classical guitarist Paul Gregory, also of Maestosomusic.
Handmade at the family run Cashimira workshop in Spain, it’s an excellent combination of woods, consisting of solid European spruce top and eye-watering Brazilian rosewood back and sides, featuring blond heartwood highlights. Consequently, it’s a beautiful instrument both tonally and visually. Other features include an ebony fretboard and tuners which I believe are gold plated.
At the time of buying I debated whether to buy the 145 or the 4A, however I was eventually persuaded by Paul’s comment that he thought this guitar was as good, if not better than the 4A.
The guitar has never left my (smoke-free) home and has unfortunately rarely been played, mainly because I’m a fingerstyle steel-string player. The only reason I’m selling is because the 52mm nut width is a bit of stretch for me and so I’ve just purchased a nylon cross-over guitar with a narrower nut that suits me better.
The guitar is in immaculate condition and I can see no dings, scratches, etc., etc. and any marks in the photo’s are either reflections or just bad photography. If I had to be really picky, there’s what looks like a tiny dent on the binding of the neck at the 1st fret. However, I think it’s actually just a flaw in the lacquer. It’s been there since new and isn’t anything you can feel. I’m just mentioning it for absolute completeness.
The strings will definitely need replacing, however I’m not going to waste a set trying to second-guess what the new owner prefers.
Also included is a Pod semi-hard case, also in excellent condition.
This is a Cash Sale and Collection only - although I may be prepared to meet within a reasonable distance of Bristol.
Price is £700 ono.
